About Me

Helpful Hands
The Northeast Regional Early Intervention Collaborative, Inc. (NREIC) aka, "Helpful Hands", is a 503(c) recognized organization whose mission is to assure that families of infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities enrolled in the NJ Early Intervention System (NJEIS) have access to the services and supports needed to ensure that each child grows to his or her fullest potential. The organziation was established in 1993 through a grant from the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services as one of four Collaboratives around the state responsible for the regional planning, coordination and evaluation of early intervention (EI) services. The NREIC also serves as the regional single point of entry for early intervention services and hub for regional data collection. The NREIC offers family education and support, professional training and technical assistance, and serves as a link between the state agency for early intervention (EI) in New Jersey, the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and the region.
